Adventures in Freedom

There are certain "perks" to being finally and forever set free from the hell I knew before. I don't just mean being away from abuse, micromanagement, etc. I mean all the fun experiences I've been having since I was removed from what was my home. To date:

1. Got to go to the corn maze.
2. Picked out a Halloween outfit (maybe I'll actually get to go next year :D).
3. Learned how to make sushi, also pumpkin soup.
4. Learned Zelda and Pikmin.
5. Learned new ways of doing dishes, putting away silverware, and organizing food.
6. Discovered that I'm not the only one who mumbles to herself when stressed out.
7. Learned that I'm probably the only woman on the planet who uses one towel for her hair and another towel to dry off with.
8. Gave up all rights to privacy -- finally. And I mean all. As in, whoever winds up seeing my underoos, well, then, they've seen my underoos.
9. Found out why it is that God deemed it necessary to make me be someone who likes couches more than beds, by default. LOL.
10. Learned how to find the positives in any bad situation, and how to use that positive energy to make it better while trusting God to make it possible for it to be better.
11. Found out that I can be exposed to a little teensy bit of milk now, but only about once a week, and even then, I still get a little bit sick. But it's manageable. That's what's important.
12. Am getting to watch JAWS pretty soon :) For the first time ever.
13. Learned that sometimes, it's ok to wrack up a little debt, as long as it will enable you to make enough money to pay it off and survive too, and the differential is only about a month.
14. Found out just how much people love me, and especially how far Erik will go for me. Love is limitless, I know that. But you know what I mean. I now fully trust certain people far more than I ever knew I could.
15. Found out how much love I can have for others.
16. Learned how to make the hard calls.
17. Got employers just crawling all over me. Yikes.
18. Found my true purpose in life.
19. Learned how to use a Japanese rice cooker.
20. Learned how to use an upscale toaster with all kinds of cool settings on it and stuff.
