Thank God for Sabbath
I have 2 jobs now. The call center and Wal-Mart. My schedule for just this week has looked like this:
Mon - Wed:
8/9 AM - 3:30 PM: Wal-Mart
4 PM - 9 PM: Call Center
Thurs - Fri:
8 AM - 11:30 AM: Wal-Mart
12 PM - 4 PM: Call Center
Fri: 4 PM +: Completely Veg Out. I get the rest of Friday and all of Saturday completely off. I work some more on Sunday and then have just as crazy of a schedule next week. I'm basically working between 8 and 12 hours a day, at $8.50 and $10.70 per hour, and the only serious hardship I'm suffering from right now is that I haven't seen a single paycheck since the week I worked one day at Safeway and then quit because the scheduling was just never going to work out with them, even though they gave me Sabbaths off.
I'm staying in the cutest little cottage out in the country (oh my, yes, it's ironic, I know), which is on the property of these completely awesome and very likeminded people who took me in. They have a separate house they're living in. Essentially, they aren't charging me rent, but as I can pay for it, I'll be paying the electric bill (they have a wood-stove, so that cuts down my electric expense somewhat), and the phone bill, but that's pretty much it. I'm also hoping to get a Net10 phone soon. I have my gas bill coming in soon, but it won't be due until the end of the month. I'll have made plenty of money to at least pay the minimum balance on that, and all my student loans have been deferred for a year. I can stay in this house until March, and then I have to make other arrangements.
I don't know where things stand financially with WWU. I do know that it wouldn't work out if I did winter, spring, and summer quarters FT. I'd still have to pay them $800 per month, and that doesn't include housing or food. So, I had them lop off summer quarter and recrunch the numbers, but I haven't seen those yet. It's been suggested that I just do spring quarter, so I'll look into that when I have the time. It might not be until the end of next week though.
I need to go get some sleep. Stay tuned :)
